Calculating Your BMI

Body mass index (BMI) is a common tool for deciding whether a person has an appropriate body weight.

It measures a person’s weight in relation to their height. Maintaining an appropriate body weight is important for protection against obesity-related illnesses and disabilities such as:  obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and cardiovascular problems just to name a few.

We've put together a valuable BMI Calculator to help you understand the following:

  1. What your BMI is.
  2. Where you fall in regards to the weight classification according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
    • Underweight
    • Ideal
    • Overweight
    • Obese (I, II, III)

*Quick Calculator Tip*
If using Imperial, enter your height as a decimal. This will require you to first divide the inches in your height by 12. So If I was 5' 3", I'd divide 3/12 = .25. So what I'd enter into the calculator would be 5.25 for my height. That's weird, I know. We're hoping to update it soon to just ask for inches.

less than 18.5:Underweight
18.5 - 24.9:Normal weight
25 - 29.9:Overweight
30 - 34.9:Class I Obese
35 - 39.9:Class II Obese
40 upwards:Class III Obese

Since there are only 2 factors in the calculation of BMI, and one of those factors (height) can't really be adjusted, the only thing you can do to improve your BMI is to decrease your weight.

Though the entire world is going to suggest eating rabbit food while you starve, doing crazy workout programs like P90X or Insanity, we've found a solution that works significantly better with far less effort.

It's a natural supplement called Leptitox. When taken daily with a glass of water, it curbs cravings and balances appetite. Whether you find yourself in one of the three Obese categories, or even just "Overweight," Leptitox can help you quickly move in a better direction.
